Plan Submission Process

All Fire Protection Certificate (eFPC) Applications and residential fire sprinkler system plans must be submitted online.

Fire Protection Certificate

Applicant must complete an eFPC Application and a PDF plan set. A current Santa Barbara County permit number is required prior to submission of an eFPC. Plan set must include a cover sheet, site plan, floor plan and have the associated permit number and APN number identified on the cover sheet.

Applicant must include a completed fire sprinkler plan, data sheet and hydraulic calculations.

Submission & Review

Completed eFPC Application, plan sets and fire sprinkler system plans must be emailed in PDF format to Assistant Fire Marshal, Alex Broumand at abroumand@montecitofire.com

Plans will be reviewed by Fire District staff. Applicant will be notified if clarification is needed or if a re-submittal is required.

Once approved, the documents will be stamped electronically and emailed to the applicant. A copy of the approved plans shall be maintained on the job site during all phases of the project.
