It’s very windy, hot & dry in Montecito! As a result, our fire risk is increased. In addition to our regular staffing, we are staffing our two Type 6 engines.
Important details on the forecast:
Winds gusts will be 40-50mph with isolated gusts of 60-70mph in the mountains & foothills of Montecito.
Daytime highs will be in the upper 80s to mid-90s for the next couple of days.
While the vegetation is relatively green and a Red Flag Warning is NOT in place, humidities are quite low.
Significant cooling is expected this weekend.
